HOW DOES ACCEPTANCE AND COMMITMENT THERAPY REDUCE BURNOUT AMONG ACADEMICIANS FROM MALAYSIAN RESEARCH UNIVERSITIES? A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

The prevalence of burnout among academicians in Malaysian Research Universities (RUs) is a growing concern contemporarytimes. confluence high job demands, and limited resources has contributed to heightened levels amongthis population. Recognizing the urgency addressing this issue, present study conducts systematic review examine theeffectiveness acceptance commitment therapy (ACT) reducing RUs Malaysia.Through comprehensive analysis relevant literature, number studies meeting inclusion criteria were identified andreviewed. findings demonstrate that ACT holds promise as an effective intervention for decreasing academicians, while simultaneously enhancing psychological flexibility. implications extend both scholars experts invested mitigating pervasiveness RUs, offering valuable insights development targeted interventions strategies.
